About Me

I taught for the Shelby County School System for 12 years at Shadowlawn Middle. When Shadowlawn became the Ninth Grade Academy, I was reassigned to Ellendale teaching 3rd grade. That was a great adventure for me. Four years ago, I had the most amazing class during the Covid epidemic, so I jumped at the opportunity to loop with them to 4th grade. So, this will be my fourth year in fourth.

 

I love to read, fish, watch sports of all kinds, chase a 5 year old and a two-year-old, and spend time with the best friends and family that are constantly around me. I have a five-year-old boy named Mason, a two year-old named Lucy, and an extraordinary woman in my life named Laura. I have chosen the most rewarding of careers and am so eager to continue this experience of elementary school and with these 4th graders I've become so attached to.
