About Me
My name is Lucy Chapman and I am so proud to be an Ellendale Bear. I grew up in New York City and that is where I found my love of languages and diversity. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Marymount Manhattan College in NYC and my Master's Degree from The University of Memphis. I taught at a Montessori school in NYC across from The United Nations where I had the privilege of teaching children from all around the world. I have also taught in private schools in the Memphis area and Dexter Elementary with Shelby County Schools. I have two grown daughters of whom I am extremely proud. Alexandra received her Ph.D from Ohio State University and is a an English professor at the University of South Carolina. Kiernan graduated from the U of M in Nursing and works at St. Jude Research Hospital. My husband, Scott, is a nurse manager on the Critical Care Unit at St. Francis Hospital East. I am also the mother of three rescue cats, and a granddog named Maisey! We recently added a French bulldog mix named Winnie!
