ABOUT MRS. MORRIS

I am a graduate of Memphis State University, and I began teaching in 1991. Ellendale has been my home school since 2000, where I have enjoyed teaching grades 2nd - 4th. I am married to an educator. Our oldest son and daughter live in Memphis, while our youngest daughter is a freshman in college. We reside in the country where I enjoy the wildlife, beautiful sunsets, starlit skies, and the sounds of owls and coyotes at night. I am a HUGE animal lover.  We have 1 dog and 4 cats. I hope to eventually add goats, ducks, and miniature donkeys.
My hobbies include working a second job at a local dog daycare, working in the yard, enjoying animals and nature,  playing the piano, working jigsaw puzzles, learning more about Native Americans, reading, and traveling.
Some fun out of state trips have been:
Washington, DC and Boston, Acadia National Park in Maine, Yellowstone National Park, and The Tetons-where we went whitewater rafting.  My favorite trip so far has been to South Dakota  to see Mt. Rushmore, the Crazy Horse Memorial, the Indian Museum of North America, and the national park full of wild burros and bison!  My travel goal is to eventually see all 50 states.
